Close to the castle of Schieder lies the stately manor of the former estate which dominated the whole valley. In midth of the lovely countryside of Lippes midlands, between teutoburger wald and Weserbergland is Schieder-Schwalenberg in ideal recreation area on historical grounds. Trecking, mountain biking and kanooing are some of the favorit activities around here. Even so that Golf and horsebackriding is also available. Visit the historical sites from the Extern rocks, to the cheruskian war in the year nine, to Charlemangne, Napolean and recent history around the homestaed of the foreign minister.
