Salou is the tourist capital of Costa Dorada, 100 km south of Barcelona. Salou's wide beaches stretch from Cape La Pineda in the north to the tourist town of Cambrils in the south. From May to October is enough to do, there are thousands of tourists on the streets. You hear the bowl of sangria and feel the smell of paella. The most beautiful street is full of a variety of bars, restaurants, cafes and shops that stretch along the eight-mile long beach. The light and music fountain is rightly said to be the most beautiful on the spot.

The beach life in Salou


In Salou there are numerous beaches, but the most popular is Levante Beach which is also the longest. Other beaches located in and around Salou include Platja de Ponent, Platja dels Capellans, Platja Llarga and Platja Cala Crancs. In Salou there are 34 beaches that flag the blue flag, but it is internationally recognized for cleanliness and safety of the beaches.

Things to do


Salou is a unique family-friendly destination with numerous entertainment options for children and adults. First, mention is the PortAventura theme park, which is just a few minutes' drive from Salou. Other recreational options include the Caribe and Aquapolis water parks, a boat trip with a glass bottom, a day trip to Barcelona, now or games and fun on the beach. In Salou there are also numerous bars that have special evening entertainment for both children and adults.
